O campo de Búzios, no pré-sal da Bacia de Santos, voltou a bater recorde e alcançou, em 26 de junho, produção média diária superior a 1,2 milhão de barris de óleo por dia, informou a Petrobras. A marca foi registrada apenas três dias após o ativo ter superado, pela primeira vez, o patamar de 1,1 milhão de barris/dia.
O avanço na produção foi obtido com a ampliação das operações das plataformas P-78 e P-79, que estão em fase de aumento gradual de produção (ramp-up) até atingirem a capacidade nominal de 180 mil barris/dia cada uma. Segundo a companhia, o desempenho dessas unidades tem sido determinante para acelerar a curva de produção do campo.

Considerado pela Petrobras o maior campo em águas profundas do mundo, Búzios conta hoje com oito unidades produtoras em operação: as plataformas P-74, P-75, P-76, P-77, P-78, P-79 e os FPSOs Almirante Barroso e Almirante Tamandaré. Este último é atualmente a maior unidade em capacidade nominal de produção do país, com 225 mil barris/dia, podendo operar, de forma estendida, até cerca de 270 mil barris/dia.
O plano da estatal prevê que, ao todo, 12 FPSOs operem em Búzios. Além das unidades já em produção, seguem em construção os FPSOs P-80, P-82 e P-83, enquanto a unidade Búzios 12 se encontra em fase de licitação. A expansão reforça o papel do campo como principal origem do crescimento da oferta de óleo brasileira neste e nos próximos anos, em linha com o plano de negócios da companhia.
